Missing Grandma

Jeff's grandma passed away on Monday night after battling lung cancer. She went peacefully and was surrounded by family. We will truly miss her. Makenzie had a friend over today and was telling her about Grandma dying then she said, "She passed up. I'm going to miss her." How great it is to know that we are families forever and that this sadness will only be for a short time. I can't help but think that Grandma is in heaven right now getting ready to send off not only our baby but Liz and Steven's and also Cara and Alan's.

Summertime

We've spent the summer in swimming lessons. Logan is getting good enough that he can swim from one side of the pool to the other.

Makenzie is finally brave enough to put her whole head in the water.

Ashleigh is a fish. Loves to jump in from the side, whether or not anyone is there to catch her. Gotta watch out with that one. She also doesn't at all care about putting her head under water.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LOGAN!

Yesterday we celebrated Logan's #7 birthday. It is hard to believe how grown up he is getting. To celebrate he wanted blue waffles for breakfast, then we went to a baptism of a family friend, and then off to the movies to see WAL*E. We came back home and he had cousins here to play with (thanks Steven for arranging for Noah to be here - they had a blast). We ate pizza for dinner followed by a cake in the shape of a tank and ice cream. Good Times! Here is a slide show of the festivities and presents.
